"I would never recommend Sachas to anybody apart from the staff the hotel should be closed!!!!!" (108077806)
the staff was very helpful
the lifts was not working and I was not informed prior to my stay and they new that the lifts would be out of action, we were on the top floor and if anybody in my party couldnt make stairs we would have had problems. If Sachas call this an executive twin they have lost there marbles, I have stayed at a premier inn in Rugby which was more executive and half the price!!!!

"Convenient hotel in centre of Manchester, needs refurbishment but good value for money" (107124633)
Friendly staff - willing to help. Very convenient - centre of town - usually good value for money
Main lifts have been out of order for a few weeks, service lift very slow. Reception did not know that the room allocated had a problem - water dripping down wall and being collected in buckets.

Staff helpfullness and location.
Interior and rooms was very dated, and bath room and air-conditioning needed up-dating.

"The fact that we were placed in smoking rooms spoilt the stay, and the lack of respect for our wishes was inexcusable." (108085997)
The reception area was open and friendly and the duty manager tried to be helpful with my complaint.
we were not offered a non-smoking room and this caused a great deal of distress. smoking rooms were not advertised and the hotel gave the impression it was non smoking when we asked for a an upgrade/refund we were told that we could only be upgraded at 3pm Whilst we were attending a function. This was not asatisfactory and we requested a refund. We were then fobbed off with promises that the General Manager would see us. The General manager was in fact absent from the office on the day we checked out.

"Incredibly Disapointing but great location" (108073780)
The staff were very helpful and professional
the hotel is long overdue for a makeover, the rooms are frankly unacceptable and shabby and the smoke alarms were hanging off the ceiling?! I can't believe in this day and age that this costs £50, do yourselves a favour and stay further out in a chain premier lodge etc where you can get guaranteed standards...there you won't pay extra for having a room with a window!!!!!!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful. The room was clean and well-appointed. Everything matched the descriptions on the website.
The only problem was that the lifts were not operational, but the service lift functioned well. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Excellent location convenient for city centre. Good reception and lobby area. Staff very nice
Room was very shabby. Clearly no upkeep for many years; dirty and cracked windows, chipped units in bath, bathroom sealant been botched over the years, matress very old and uncomfortble. In general room could do with a bit of a refurbishment. Not value for money in my opinion.

"Excellant value for money, considering other prices in the area." (97567402)
Friendly staff, on return after night out felt secure with security on door only admitting actual residents. Very comfortable feel to hotel, looks good.
Checking In was quite slow, waiting for room to come available when checking in was from 2pm & we were well after that. Room was adequate, room & bedding clean & tidy, TV & Bathroom in particular were in need of sprucing up, looking a bit dated.

"To start with things seemed lovely, nice big clean entrance, friendly welcome, let us check in early, then it all went down hill, no lifts working, had to use dirty grotty staff areas, the room was shabby, but would do, but glad I didn’t pay full price, had a lovely evening at a concert, to come back and have our night ruined by too much noise so much so the floor was vibrating 2 floors up, no working TV to try and drown the noise out, ignorance, rudeness from staff and no food available like advertised. But, thankfully when we complained AGAIN face to face this time at front desk the manager came, swapped our room to the 6th floor, promised the party would end soon (which it didn’t) and music be turned down (which it wasn’t) and also asked the restaurant to prepare some food for us to take to our room, which was very nice, very tasty. He was very pleasant and understanding, and the room we were given was 10 times better than the one we were in originally. If I went to Manchester again I would consider this hotel but I would ask for the exact same room on the 6th floor. And would never pay full price for it, this hotel is not, in my opinion and experience a 4 star." (97488742)
Entrance and greeting, good, friendly, baggage store good, food from restaurant tasty.
We were given a room on the 3rd floor, this room had an old dingy bathroom, mucky windows, a TV that didn’t work, with a remote that didn’t work, air condition vent in roof that hissed so loud we had to block it up, and there was a wedding that went on until 1.30am and the music was SO LOUD it made the floor vibrate on the THIRD floor, and the wedding was on the FIRST floor. Rude staff when we complained over the phone, no all night room service as advertised and finally most of the staff in general did not seem to know what was going on, or what to do. Plus we got interrogated by the security guard for entering our hotel.

We had to use the service lift and behind the scenes was very unclean and messy which is not what residents want to see, the room was ok but by some venting system which meant that there was constant noise throughout the night. The breakfast was very poor in standard

Because the room was greatly over 30 degrees, we feel you should consider giving us a refund because we were promised that after complaining about the heat straight away (3 PM) it was still as hot at 9AM the next morning, so nothing was done to recify the situation." Overal it was a good experience and would not hesitate to recommened the hotel to friends. It was all round very well presented and could not find fault.
Only complaint I would have would be the handling of food, in particular bread without the use of gloves.

"For an overnight or short break this hotel is in the center of all the local ammentities. Just a short walk from the MEN and shops.Could have done with knowing where the long stay car park was before we aroved as we had to pay £3.60 in the short stay car park for 15 mins whilst we checked in. Although i could of asked befor my arrival this info would be worth knowing before hand. Staff were friendly and helpful." (97289381)
good overall condition of room very tidy and clean. Staff were very helpful and went out of there way to ensure we were happy. The day we stayed there were issues with the water supply due to works but this did n0t effect our stay and we were kept informed of the progress. Food was excellent and very reasonably priced.
bathroom was a bit outdated and decor could do with some attention.

the room was large,a decent sized double bed, very warm due to the air con not working, out of the hotel's hand's this ,outside water repairs.

"No water on Saturday due to work outside the hotel - general cleanliness of room bad - wall paper split and damaged - bathroom was not a superior bathroom - bath discoloured and hydro bath not working - smoke alarm with no cover in room - general room fitments old and damaged. As it is a city center hotel the management seem to think that all this can be discounted." (97850419)
Had a good nights sleep dispite all the faults.
I booked a suite and according to the hotel this is a superior room ! Bath dirty and sides broken. Light fittings that did not fit or work. Remote on TV broke drawers that would not close general decoration poor to say that it was a superior room or suite. Breakfast was fine but not worth £10 per head luckily when we booked in this was included when we paid as a sweetener - many people were complaining.

"In general the hotel is good, staff were nice, roo was big enough,it's located in a very good area of Manchester it's great to have this on-line reservation, but the room without window should be given to the people with a warning." (97789240)
The big room with good bathroom and fairly clean. the tea service in the room icluded coffe and hot chocolate was excellent.
My room was one without window, actually I didn't know it when I did check in and reserve on-line, this is the worst part of my staying in the hotel, actually I had noghtmares about rthis room after my travel, since 2004 because of my job I was in many hotels in all around the world but it was the first one withj no window. very bad experience!!!

The hotel was clean but in need of few repiar`s that did not impair our stay in anyway , the hotel has many rooms with and without windows as it said on the website , as we booked a double room we got a window that looked out on the rooftop`s and had remnants of left over work material`s , the aircon was great and come in handy , over all i wasnt disspleased with the hotel just a few point`s that were brought up between myself and my partner ." Sheets were clean thats about the only good point
No cold running water! Bathroom was in a disgraceful state. Wardrobe doors didnt open without fallin out. Doesnt say in hotel details that the hotel allows 'working girls' and is in that area of the town.
