"Booked as a transit/overnight stop and met expectations well in terms of value for money. Not the best area/range of facilities for other purposes." (107419066)
Good value, quietly efficient
Not that easy to find - need to provide directions from ferry as well as from motorway and would be helpful if covered a larger area on map. Limited bar and restaurant facilities in hotel and surrounding area.

Room could have done with a good clean, especially the bathroom. Did not know when booking that restaurant would not be open on the evening we arrived

"More than enough for a night out" (107160163)
easy to reach, quiet area for a nice and relax night
The reception is close from 12 to 17 every day, 5 hours is out of order for this kind of business!! The breackfast cost ?6.50 per person and is worth that 5.

"Would stay at the Itap Hotel in Calais and not recomend this hotel to anyone" (107109005)
The place was a dump, batteries for channel changer were held in with tape, low to no lighting in hall way, could not give adequate direction to hotel, coke machine did not work. I felt like I was staying in a war ship from World War II.

"Very good" (97021406)
The hotel was clean, accessible and value for money. From the small interaction with the staff they were very friendly and willing to help
Only slight problem with the room was slight damp in the two corners however we were unpreturbed by this as the hotel was such value for money

Clean and good value for money, good location for the major roads and the tunnel!
Bit noisey and no tea or coffee facilities in the rooms, but it was only for 1 night! Plus only 1 English tv channel!

"Generally adequate for a short stay and served our purpose very well. We intended to use it as a base only and spent very little time in the hotel. As visitor from the UK, tea making facilities in our room would have been nice, though not expected in France. All the staff were helpful and efficient." (97192455)
Staff efficient, friendly and welcoming.
Breakfast very basic, for 7eu each we decided that it was not good value and ate out for the second morning.

"For a one-night stay for someone travelling by Eurotunnel, this was adequate. I would use the hotel again for this purpose but would not go so far as to recommend it to others." (97134086)
It was very convenient for the Eurotunnal and the staff were very helpful.
We asked for a non-smoking room but were given a smoking one - our clothes reeked afterwards, which is very unpleasant.

Easy to find, close to the tunnel, ideal for the job in hand. And only a 20 minute walk into town.
The rooms are a bit snug for two blokes and all their bike gear.

"The hotel was ideal for an overnight stay for travellers using the A16 autopista. However, the instructions for finding the hotel need to be updated. The wrong junction off the A16 was stated - apparantly the numbers have changed and also instructions were given to turn right at a set of traffic lights - these do not exist; it is now an island. The restaurant was well set out and the menu, whilst not being extensive was good and the service pleasant." (99914418)

"For this price the accommodation was good value, so no complaints really except the above. I prefer the Campomile - they supply a kettle, tea/coffee which is excellent for late night arrivals and early departures, and generally a higher standard. I would book this again only if the Campomile was unavailable." (99293146)
Easy access to Tunnel, easy to find, clean adequate rooms, quiet, secure parking
The light switches in room were unreliable, the water took ages to heat up for a shower

Helpful and very friendly staff
No smoking in building - not even chairs outside to smoke. No lampshades on side lights - probable fire hazzard as part of wooden backing had been scorched.

"Apart from lack of sleep, and a very breakfast, the hotel was as basic as we had expected, based upon hotels we have stayed at of a similar ilk." (99186676)
Basic to our needs as an ovenight stop.
Apart from the lack of choice breakfast, we were kept awake from 12 until 4am by VERY noisy kitchen(?) staff directly below us. This entirely defeated the objective of having a tiring journey of 400k back home the next day.

"I stayed in a room on my own, I took three 15 year old boys with me (my grandson and two others), they had a room together and I was pleased to find a hotel at a reasonable price which offered three single beds. We also had breakfast at the hotel and this was perfectly adequate. Although breakfast was served between 7.00 and 9.30, the food was not taken away at 9.30 but was stocked up for those who may have been late. Very good service!" (99753822)
